In the first three quarters, China imported a total of 3.09 trillion yuan from 63 foreign exhibitors, an increase of 8.8 percent over the same period last year.

Statistics show that in the first three quarters, China recorded a total of 94000 state-owned imports from 63 foreign exhibitors, an increase of 6.3 percent over the same period last year. Of this total, imports by state-owned enterprises totaled 1.13 trillion yuan, an increase of 11.4 percent over the same period last year, accounting for 36.6 percent, while imports by private enterprises totaled 1.07 trillion yuan, an increase of 21.3 percent over the same period last year, accounting for 34.7 percent. Imports by foreign-invested enterprises totaled 875.75 billion yuan, down 6.1 percent from the same period last year, accounting for 28.3 percent of the total.

Nationwide, 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in mainland China had import records from 63 foreign exhibitors in the first three quarters, indicating the extensive demand for related imports from all over China. Of this total, Beijing's imports totaled 603.18 billion yuan, an increase of 12.8 percent over the same period last year, accounting for 19.5 percent of the total. Guangdong and Shanghai imported 398.14 billion yuan and 373.29 billion yuan respectively, up 3 per cent and 1.2 per cent respectively over the same period last year, accounting for 12.9 per cent and 12.1 per cent, respectively.

It is worth noting that in the first three quarters, China imported 2.17 trillion yuan from 63 foreign exhibitors in the form of general trade, an increase of 8.7 percent over the same period last year, accounting for 70 percent of the total value of related imports in the same period. Among them, under the way of online shopping bonded trade, which belongs to cross-border e-commerce new business type, imports totaled 8.24 billion yuan, a sharp increase of 40.3% over the same period last year, indicating that the enthusiasm and energy of ordinary Chinese consumers to participate in cross-border online shopping are constantly being released.

According to statistics, in the first three quarters, of the 63 foreign exhibitors, China's imports from 48 countries increased, accounting for 76.2 percent of the total number of exhibitors. In the first three quarters, China imported 1.45 trillion yuan from 15 host countries, an increase of 9.5 percent over the same period last year, accounting for 46.8 percent of the total value of imports from 63 foreign exhibitors.

In the first three quarters, China imported 596.15 billion yuan of crude oil from 63 foreign exhibitors, an increase of 13.8 percent over the same period last year, accounting for 19.3 percent, making it the largest category of imports. Imports of integrated circuits and iron ore and their concentrates totaled 183 billion yuan and 169.61 billion yuan, up 18.5 percent and 31.7 percent over the same period last year.

What is gratifying is that in addition to bulk energy and raw materials, in the first three quarters, China imported 320.52 billion yuan of consumer goods from 63 foreign exhibitors, an increase of 25.5 percent, or 10.4 percent, resulting in extensive participation of enterprises and the public. The scope of benefits has been greatly expanded. Of this total, imports of meat and aquatic seafood were 42.38 billion yuan and 41.32 billion yuan respectively, up 58.9 percent and 66 percent respectively over the same period last year, and imports of cosmetics were 21.12 billion yuan, up 47.1 percent from the same period last year.
