Not long ago, President Xi Jinping awarded Princess Sirindhorn the Medal of Friendship, reflecting the profound friendship between the peoples of China and Thailand. China is willing to consolidate political mutual trust with Thailand, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, close people-to-people exchanges, and promote the continuous and in-depth development of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between China and Thailand.
Li Keqiang pointed out: China is willing to link up the "Belt and Road Initiative" initiative with Thailand's development strategy, so as to achieve joint discussion, construction and sharing. We support the construction of Thailand's "Eastern Economic Corridor" (EEC) and are willing to use this as an important platform for third-party market cooperation. China encourages its enterprises to participate in the construction of Thai transport infrastructure in accordance with the principles of marketization and commercialization, make good use of cross-border e-commerce platforms, and expand the export of Thai rice and other high-quality agricultural products to China. China is willing to exchange experiences with Thailand on the development of special economic zones and industrial parks and promoting the cause of poverty reduction. We will further promote the people of the two countries, strengthen personnel exchanges, deepen cultural cooperation in education, tourism, and so on, so that the "Sino-Thai family" will be closer to each other.
Li Keqiang stressed that China appreciates the efforts made by the Thai presidency of ASEAN to promote the development of China-ASEAN relations, especially the basic conclusion of the negotiations on the regional comprehensive economic partnership agreement. China is willing to continue to work with ASEAN countries, including Thailand, to promote regional economic integration and push China-ASEAN relations and East Asian cooperation to a new level.
Prayuth warmly welcomed Prime Minister Li Keqiang's official visit to Thailand and attended a series of meetings of leaders of East Asian cooperation, and thanked China for its support to Thailand as chairman of ASEAN.
