Alexei Kozhevnikov, senior vice president of the Russian Export Center, said in an exclusive interview with Xinhua reporters at the second session of China International Import Expo that the Expo will bring more opportunities for Russian enterprises to promote their products. As one of the concrete measures taken by China to open wider to the outside world, the Expo will be welcomed now and in the future.
This year is the second time that Russia has participated in the Expo as the guest of honor. Under the organization of the Russian Export Center, large enterprises represented by the Russian United aircraft Manufacturing Group, the Russian helicopter Company and the Russian Joint Shipbuilding Group will hold business talks with partners from various countries at the national pavilion. More than 40 related enterprises will seek business opportunities in the food and agricultural products exhibition area.
"the numbers tell the whole story." Kozhevnikov said that Russian enterprises are more enthusiastic about the second Expo. On the one hand, the Russian business delegation set up by the export center includes nearly 100 enterprises, significantly more than last year; On the other hand, the export center organized more than 400 business talks at the first Expo and is expected to hold 500 business talks this year.
"companies don't just come." Kozhevnikov said that the export center has conducted a strict screening of exhibitors, and the preparatory work began as early as a year ago. The exhibitors are all enterprises with certain production capacity, a certain market position in Russia and export ability to China and other markets.
"Creative industries are one of the important directions of promotion." Kozhevnikov said that since the beginning of this year, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development has provided new state support measures for creative industries such as film and television and the media, which has had a positive impact on relevant Russian enterprises, and the international market has increased demand for Russian-related resources. Russian cartoons represented by Martha and the Bear have made some achievements in the international market, and some music and video products have also been welcomed by international users. Russia hopes to take advantage of the Expo to promote its successful experience.
On expectations for the future, Kozhevnikov pointed out that the export center will make use of the Expo to further clarify the positioning of Russian enterprises in the international market and improve the exhibition strategy, with a view to achieving more fruitful results at the next Expo.
