It marks a breakthrough in the important construction project of the medium-and long-term railway network planning in this country.

The Wushui Wantan Bridge, built by China Railway 25 Bureau Group, consists of three major bridges No. 1, 2 and 3, which are constructed on the Wushui River in Huaihua, Hunan Province at the same time. Within a distance of less than 100 meters, three 168-meter-span bridges continuously cross the river and a number of municipal roads, which is the first time in China.

According to Huang Pan, technical director of the Yuhuai Project of the China Railway 25 Bureau Group, the main span of the three major bridges has reached a continuous rigid frame limit span of 168m, and the foundation of the bridge is located on both sides of the sharply curved river of the Wushui River. The bottom of the river is a hard stone riverbed with shallow overburden, and the construction of pile foundation and cofferdam is very difficult. For this reason, the project department adopts the method of new environmental protection bag to build island and steel sheet pile cofferdam for deep water foundation construction, and completes the construction of all water piers in one dry season, which ensures the progress of the construction period.
