The Yangtze River Delta is one of the most intensive areas of advanced manufacturing industry in China. Through targeted procurement at the Expo, it is a common choice for trading groups in three provinces and one city to help manufacturing enterprises in the region speed up the transformation and upgrading.
At the Anhui Provincial Import demand release and Economic and Trade Cooperation Symposium held on the 6th, Hefei Kangerxin signed a US $30 million purchase order for engines and generator sets with Mitsubishi heavy Industries of Japan. "We focus on the research and manufacture of emergency power equipment, come to the Expo, the focus is on the international advanced technology for my use, to promote the performance of products." Zhou Shuliang, executive deputy general manager of Kang Erxin, said that Kang Erxin has targeted the high-end market share of the Yangtze River Delta and plans to provide emergency power solutions to more semiconductor and new display enterprises.
The first order of the Shanghai trading group also pointed to high-end equipment. Shanghai Zhenkun Industrial supermarket has reached an intended order with Dow and Schneider Electric to purchase electronic products and consumables for intelligent manufacturing. Zhong Yan, director of public affairs at Zhenkun Bank, said: "because of the platform for the Expo, we don't have to fly around the world to make one-stop purchases."
In addition to "buying", the three provinces and one city are also looking for ways to keep good foreign investment projects and jointly build world-class industrial clusters in the Yangtze River Delta.
During the Expo, Zhejiang Province held the third China (Zhejiang)-Europe (Germany) Digital economy and High-tech Industry Summit, attracting more than 90 world top 500 and "invisible champion" enterprises to participate. Zong Qinghou, chairman of Wa Group, said that at present, China's economy is becoming more and more digital, and enterprises should conform to the development trend and use digital technology to promote innovation and change.
Thomas Banner, vice president of Siemens Greater China, said: "Siemens and Zhejiang Province have previously launched a series of cooperation in infrastructure, digitization is an important direction for the two sides to continue to work together."
To attract foreign investment projects to land, a good business environment is very important. "investing in Shanghai is investing in the Future"-during the Expo, the Shanghai Foreign Investment Promotion Service platform was officially launched. The industrial map of Shanghai released at the same time comprehensively shows the information of investment environment, policy and industrial distribution in Shanghai, in order to realize the online matching and directional docking between foreign investment projects and landing areas.
The basic starting point of the integration of the Yangtze River Delta is for a better life for the people. To meet the needs of the escalation of consumption of the people in the region, the trading groups of the three provinces and one city immediately loaded foreign good goods into the "shopping basket."
SUNING Group from Jiangsu Province signed a contract with the Italian Foreign Trade Commission during the Expo to bring Italian goods and cultural experience to Chinese consumers through direct mining of their country of origin. Under the agreement, the Italian Foreign Trade Commission will assist SUNING in continuing to introduce more than 150 Italian brands in the fashion and high-tech fields, 1/3 of which will enter China for the first time.

Oriental International is duty-bound as a state-owned enterprise. In addition to introducing high-quality goods around the world, Oriental International has also taken the lead in the construction of Hongqiao Import Commodities Exhibition and Trading Center. After the end of the six-day session, Expo exhibits can give priority to entering the bonded warehouses of the trading center and promote and sell them in various exhibition platforms, duty-free shops and national centers to help overseas goods open up the Chinese market.
