The 11th meeting of BRICS leaders will be held in Brasilia, Brazil, from November 13 to 14. Norberto Moretti, coordinator of Brazil's BRICS countries, said in an exclusive interview with Xinhua News Agency in Brasilia a few days ago that Brazil has made full preparations for hosting the meeting and looks forward to achieving fruitful results.
Moretti said that the BRICS countries have maintained good cooperation in recent years. On the previous occasions, such as the BRICS Foreign Ministers' meeting, the BRICS countries discussed many important global issues and showed a consistent position.
Moretti said that economically, the BRICS countries have important international and regional influence. At the international level, the BRICS countries have been working to promote reforms of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund to enhance the voice of emerging market countries. Politically, the BRICS countries also play an important role in international and regional affairs.
On the issue of multilateralism, Moretti said: "Brazil's position is very clear, that is, firmly defend multilateralism." Brazil has been committed to broadening the channels and invigorating the multilateral system. "
Looking ahead to the upcoming eleventh meeting of BRICS leaders, Moretti said: "Brazil is well prepared for this meeting and has focused on cooperation within the mechanism. We look forward to the fruitful results of the meeting. "
