Yuanwang 5 and Yuanwang 7 sail at the same time to carry out maritime measurement and control tasks
Nanjing, 10 Nov (Xinhua) at about 9: 00 on the 10th, with two loud sirens sounding, Yuanwang 5 and Yuanwang 7 left the wharf of the China Satellite Maritime Survey and Control Department and rushed to different parts of the Indian Ocean. It is planned to carry out five satellite sea measurement and control missions, such as Beidou 3.

The two ships set sail at the same time, which means that all six ships of the Yuanwang fleet are currently carrying out their tasks outside the country, and it also marks the end of the 2019 maritime measurement and control mission of the Yuanwang fleet.
The Yuanwang fleet consists of four space ocean-going survey ships Yuanwang 3, 5, 6 and 7 and two rocket carriers Yuanwang 21 and 22.
Up to now, the Yuanwang fleet has operated at sea for more than 400 days this year, sailed more than 100,000 nautical miles safely, has completed 13 satellite maritime measurement and control missions such as the Beidou satellite series, and is carrying out the maritime transport mission of the long March 5 remote 3 rocket. In addition, as the command ship of China's first solid rocket offshore launch technology test mission, Yuanwang 7 has successfully completed many tasks, such as maritime command, rocket tracking and measurement, mission support and so on.

Before sailing, both Yuanwang 5 and Yuanwang 7 carried out a series of tasks in a down-to-earth manner, including material replenishment, equipment maintenance, performance index testing, technical status inventory, and so on. In view of the practical problems, such as long sea operation time, short effective preparation time, frequent technical state transition, difficult risk control and so on, we should pay attention to the targeted preparation and constantly enhance the ability and quality of the post personnel.
