"Belt and Road Initiative" jointly builds the National Publishing Cooperation body and adds New members

Venezuelan Experimental Education Publishing House, Venezuelan University of Andes, Venezuelan Bolivar University, Venezuelan Center for China Studies, and Cuban people's Education Publishing House have become new members of the publication cooperation body. More than 80 representatives from China, Venezuela, Cuba and other countries attended the seminar and licensing ceremony.
In his speech at the seminar, Zhao Haiyun, deputy director of the Import and Export Administration of the propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, positively evaluated the far-reaching impact of the co-establishment of the state publishing cooperation body by "Belt and Road Initiative" on promoting people-to-people connectivity in countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative" route. He said: exchanges and cooperation in the publishing industry is an important part of cultural exchanges, and China, Venezuela and Cuba should take this opportunity to bring exchanges and cooperation in the publishing industry to a new level and create a broader field of cooperation.
In his speech, Medina, a professor at the Center for Asian and African Studies at the University of Andes, said that the development and growth of the "Belt and Road Initiative" co-building national publishing cooperation will promote literary publishing and cultural exchanges between China and Latin America. Medina, who is also the editor-in-chief of the China Notes issued in the Commission, said that he and his team will further strengthen their ties with the publishing cooperation body and serve as a bridge for deepening understanding and connecting the hearts and minds of the people between the people of Venezuela and Latin America.
Ramos, vice president of the Cuban people's Education Publishing House, said that he was very honored to be a member of the "Belt and Road Initiative" joint national publishing cooperation body. In August 2017, with the support of the propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, the former State Administration of Press, publication, Radio, Film and Television, and the Ministry of Education, the Renmin University Press of China launched the "Belt and Road Initiative" academic Publishing Union. In 2019, the publishing alliance changed its name to "Belt and Road Initiative" to co-build the National Publishing Cooperation.
