In this crackdown, the Beijing Municipal Market Regulatory Bureau, in close cooperation with various departments, severely cracked down on illegal and criminal activities in food production and marketing, and resolutely banned "black workshops" and "black huts." As of November 7, a total of 35812 food enterprises had been inspected, 1241 violations were investigated and dealt with, more than 9 million yuan was fined and confiscated, 35 food production and sales workshops were destroyed, and 18 criminal suspects were arrested.
