There will be "New regulations on Pipeline" in the Historical and Cultural District of Beijing
Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, 13 Nov (Reporter Li Jiarui) the reporter learned from the Beijing Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Commission that the Beijing local standard "Comprehensive Planning Standard for Historical and Cultural District Engineering Pipeline" has recently been revised and issued. It is proposed to make intensive use of underground space, strengthen fine and hidden design, and return a clean, stable and authentic street to the people.
The norms will be formally implemented on April 1 next year. In the future, there will be unified norms and standards in 43 historical and cultural districts in Beijing, whether it is overhead lines entering the ground, adding integrated pipe corridors, or installing new street lamps.
In the use of underground space, it is proposed that the layout of pipelines should be reasonably planned, the requirements of overhead lines should be implemented, the skyline should be beautified, clean and tidy street space should be created, and it is convenient for residents to use and protect the overall style and features of the district.
In terms of fine design, code requirements, improve pipeline quality and protection level, avoid frequent road excavation, and ensure the safety and stability of municipal pipelines and surrounding areas in historical and cultural districts. Improve the standard grade and durability of pipelines and equipment, adopt high standard pipes and equipment, improve construction quality standards, apply intelligent city construction technology, strengthen pipeline protection measures, etc.
The standard also requires to further strengthen the concealment design, reduce the impact on the visual landscape of the district, and ensure that the style of the historical and cultural district is antique and original. In view of the various engineering pipelines and their ancillary facilities and equipment, it is necessary to adopt concealment design, beautify and decorate, and coordinate with the traditional style and features of the district in terms of form, color, material, etc. In areas where conditions permit, engineering pipelines should be laid underground as far as possible to minimize the impact of municipal infrastructure on the style and features of the old city.
