Chongqing: unified fund distribution management system allows college students to issue financial aid transparently and can be traced back
Xinhua News Agency, Chongqing, 14 Nov (Reporter Ke Gaoyang) the reporter learned from the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission that Chongqing has explored and developed a "unified distribution and management system for funding funds for municipal colleges and universities in Chongqing." 63 municipal colleges and universities have realized the unified issuance of grants on a monthly basis. More than 200 million yuan of state grants have been issued, making the issuance of funding transparent and traceable.
Student financial assistance involves a wide range of work, a large amount of funds, high degree of social attention. In order to solve the problem of untimely and inaccurate distribution of financial aid funds for college students, Chongqing explored and improved the mechanism for allocating and issuing funds, and developed the "unified distribution management system for funding funds for municipal colleges and universities in Chongqing" in September this year. The student financial aid management department, together with 63 municipal universities such as Southwest University of political Science and Law and Chongqing normal University, tracks and manages the identification of students from poor families, the evaluation of scholarships and the monthly list of awards and grants. All state-funded funds are issued by the two representative banks on a monthly basis until the 10th of each month, and text messages are sent to the recipient students at the same time. At present, the system has awarded 220 million yuan in state grants to junior college and graduate students, benefiting 232000 students.
According to the person in charge of the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission, the two representative development banks linked the bank issuance system to the funding unified development system, making it clear at a glance that the issuance of funding funds can be traced back. In addition to state grants, state-funded projects, intra-school funded projects and social funded projects in colleges and universities can be distributed uniformly through the above-mentioned system.
