In order to continue to step up efforts to crack down on overseas telecommunications network fraud, this year, the Ministry of Public Security has drawn police forces from the whole country to set up a number of working groups to crack down on fraud sites in Southeast Asian countries. In August, the Criminal Police Corps of the Hebei Provincial Public Security Bureau transferred police forces from Xingtai, Handan and Baoding Public Security Bureau to form a working group to carry out international law enforcement cooperation in the Philippines.

Under the leadership and support of the Ministry of Public Security and the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines, after more than two months of research and investigation, the working group launched a centralized net collection operation with the Philippines on the night of October 9. In one fell swoop, a large telecommunications fraud crime center in Manila, the Philippines, was destroyed, 12 gangs were eliminated, 208 criminal suspects were successfully arrested, and a large number of criminal evidence, such as computers, mobile phones, and staff rosters, were seized on the spot. After preliminary verification, more than 1,000 cases were involved, involving hundreds of millions of yuan.

The 12 sites destroyed are through online friends to induce gambling and investment fraud, commonly known as "pig killing plate." This kind of fraud case has been on the rise since the beginning of this year, showing the characteristics of a large number of people cheated and a large amount of money involved in the case.
