You come and go, "sell" and "buy" win-win: the Central European train composes a new legend of the Silk Road
Beijing, 14 Nov (Xinhua)-- you come and go, "sell", "buy" win-win: China and Europe train to write a new legend of the Silk Road
Xinhua News Agency reporter
More than 2000 years ago, the camel bell caravan crossed the vast desert and walked out of a Silk Road connecting the East and the West.
Today, the China-EU train is full of goods to and from the West and East, and the ancient Silk Road reproduces the "Iron and Steel Camel team."
At the second "Belt and Road Initiative" International Cooperation Summit Forum, General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed that he unanimously supported efforts to build a partnership for global connectivity and strengthen cooperation mechanisms. It is proposed to "build major international logistics and trade channels such as China-EU trains and new land and sea channels to help more countries improve the level of connectivity."
In just a few years, the "Iron and Steel Camel team" on the China-EU train, the New Silk Road, has developed rapidly, connected into a network, and the "circle of friends" has continuously expanded, becoming the forerunner in the construction of the "Belt and Road Initiative" land international channel, and writing a new chapter in win-win cooperation.
Broad market opening up and win-win results
In the "World supermarket" Yiwu, there is a more than 500 square meters of Spanish goods import hall, selling Spanish red wine and olive oil and other goods. Its owner is Jin Navy, an overseas Chinese businessman in Spain.
The father of the Jin Navy, who went into business from Qingtian, Zhejiang, to Spain for decades, sold small daily goods purchased from Yiwu, China, and now he has gone the other way, bringing Spanish specialties back to China.
On November 18, 2014, the Yixinou Central Europe train, which connects Yiwu, the "world supermarket", and Madrid, Europe's largest commodity distribution center, made its debut. It used to take nearly two months to get there by sea, but now it only takes more than 10 days to reach it. "Commodity turnover is fast, and the pressure on capital and warehousing has been greatly reduced." Kim Navy said.
In the past, he said, the "Weibang Empire" red wine produced in Rioja, the best wine producing area in Spain, suffered from no sales channels. After the launch of the Yixinou train, the brand of red wine has been sold by Chinese buyers to China, the United States, Japan and other places, and now sells 200 million bottles a year, ranking first in the region, effectively boosting the local economy.
Spanish red wine, Polish milk, Bulgarian rose oil, French mother and baby products, German cars. More and more European goods catch the international train between China and Europe, all the way east, into the vast Chinese market.
Feng Xubin, chairman of Yiwu Tianmeng Industrial Investment Co., Ltd., said that now, more and more governments and businesses in countries and regions along the way hope to bring "specialty products" to the Chinese market on the Yiwu China-Europe train. The supply of goods on the train return trip is "not a problem".
In the first three quarters of this year, the total value of foreign trade imports and exports in Yiwu totaled 216.91 billion yuan, an increase of 10.8 percent over the same period last year, an increase of 8.5 percent in exports and 194.8 percent in imports.
The reporter learned that Yiwu plans to initially build a bridgehead for the entry of global consumer goods into China in 2020, forming an omni-directional trade pattern of "buying the world and selling the world."
Extending westward and extending through speed
On October 9, 2019, the China-EU train "World Electronic Commerce platform (eWTP) rookie" set off from Yiwu, Zhejiang Province. This is the 11th line opened by the Yixinou China-Europe train.
After arriving in Belgium, 82 standard containers, about 200000 electronic products and household goods were quickly distributed through local logistics channels to Germany, France, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Italy and the Czech Republic.
With the westward radiation range of the CEIBS train, the other end of the CEIBS train is also gradually extending to the southeast of China.
Yang Ming, general manager of Zuncheng (Chongqing) supply chain Management Co., Ltd., which has been engaged in international logistics business for more than 20 years, recalled that five years ago, they accepted a batch of fresh goods such as flour and cassava from Southeast Asian countries from Thailand, first passing through Shanghai. And then transported westward through the Yangtze River to Chongqing. Due to the long transportation time, the goods became moldy and deteriorated and suffered heavy losses.
On September 25, 2017, the "new land-sea channel" iron-sea intermodal transport train was opened, and the time from western China to Singapore and other Southeast Asian countries was at least 10 days shorter than in the past.
This new land and sea trade channel, with Chongqing as the operation center and the western provinces of Guangxi, Guizhou, Gansu, Qinghai and Xinjiang as the key nodes, reaches Southeast Asian countries such as Singapore southward through coastal ports such as the Beibu Gulf of Guangxi.
The electronic products produced by the Vietnamese factory of South Korea LG Group arrive in Chongqing through the "Land and Sea New Channel" and then transported to Europe through the China-Europe train. Goods from Germany and Belgium are also transported to Southeast Asian markets through the China-Europe train and the "new land and sea channel" and distributed to East Asian countries such as Japan and South Korea. Today, supply chain companies such as Zuncheng have expanded more new business by relying on CEIBS trains and new land and sea channels, and the logistics cycle has been cut by more than half.
By the end of September this year, the new land and sea channel destinations covered 190 ports in 90 countries and regions on six continents, including Singapore, Japan, Australia and Germany.
To promote cooperation and fly with each other.
At Duisburg Port Terminal in Germany, colorful containers are lined up like buildings, with blue containers emblazoned with the words "China and Europe train". Gantry cranes are busy loading containers on trains and sending them to China immediately.
Erich Stark, chairman of Duisburg Port Co., Ltd., sincerely sighed: "the China-EU train has made a great contribution!"
With the normal operation of China-EU trains, the production capacity cooperation between China and Europe is becoming more and more in-depth.
Nanjing High Precision Transmission equipment Manufacturing Group Co., Ltd. mainly produces gearboxes and transmission equipment, customers all over the world. Its products were based in Duisburg in 2014 and shipped parts from China to Europe through the CEIBS train. Moreover, relying on the hub advantages of Duisburg Port, the company has set up a European marketing, service and R & D headquarters in Duisburg. China and Germany have jointly developed new products for European and international markets, further deepening international production capacity cooperation.
The CEIBS train adds to the global layout of Geely.
On October 12, 2017, Geely London Electric car Company's TX5 auto parts were shipped to Yiwu for the first time through the CEIBS train. Jin Guojun, director of the new energy vehicle project in Geely Yiwu, said that the freight was less than 1/4 of that by air, and the transportation time was 60% less than that by sea, which bought more time for the project. In June 2018, workers at the Volvo European plant in Ghent, Belgium, loaded the vehicle on the CEIBS train and arrived in Xi'an, China, 16 days later.
BMW, Volvo, Porsche, Audi, Great Wall. More and more automobile enterprises carry on the import and export freight of vehicles and parts through the China-EU train. With the improvement of efficiency, the expansion of scale, the coordinated development of technology, consumers all over the world enjoy the products of global unified standards, and the China-EU train brings new opportunities to the global automobile industry.
"We should adhere to the road of openness and development, mutual benefit and win-win results, and work together to make the cake of the world economy bigger." The China-EU train, this contemporary "steel camel team", is constantly spreading great benefits to spread the new silk road, expanding the space for new development shared by all countries and regions and win-win results.
