Opening of the eighth St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum

As the host and guest country of the forum, China has sent a strong lineup of performing groups and will hold a number of cultural activities. Among them, the Shanghai National Orchestra will hold 2019 Russian tour, and together with Russian artists will hold a number of concerts such as "Ode to Peace in Sea Life and Folk Music". The Chinese National Drama Theater will perform the play "Lanling Wang" during the forum, bringing to the Russian audience the legend of Lanling Wang, a famous Chinese general in the Northern Qi Dynasty more than 1400 years ago. Teachers and students of the Beijing Dance Academy will perform the classic ballet Swan Lake in St. Petersburg.
