According to the State Grid Gansu Electric Power Company, the northwest helicopter power operation base is a key construction project of the national power grid. The project land is 245.32 mu, with a total investment of more than 140 million yuan, which can accommodate 8 to 10 EC- 225 helicopters. The first phase of the project mainly includes take-off and landing pad, helicopter hangar, integrated business building, etc., which can meet the daily operation of helicopter power operation and maintenance, and has the ability of high altitude scientific experiment operation and fixed inspection and maintenance for less than 300 hours. The construction period is expected to be 2 years.
According to reports, the base covers Shaanxi, Qinghai, Ningxia, Gansu and other provinces (regions). When completed, it will provide helicopter power operation and maintenance support for these provinces (autonomous regions), and will be used for power line inspection, maintenance and emergency rescue.
