The project is one of the top five desalination projects in the world.
According to reports, the project is located in the United Arab Emirates Umm Gaiwan Emirates, about 60 kilometers north of Dubai. As an important livelihood project in the United Arab Emirates, the project makes full use of the rich local seawater resources and adopts the advanced "membrane process" seawater desalination process, which can provide 682000 tons of clean drinking water every day, benefiting millions of local residents.
Chen Xiaohua, chairman of China Gezhouba Group Co., Ltd., said he hoped to deepen cooperation and common development with Saudi International Power and Water Group in the fields of new energy, desalination and combined cycle power stations in the future. The company will be equipped with superior resources, strengthen the supervision of performance, and ensure the timely transfer of quality and quality of the project.
Mohamed Abu Najan, chairman of the Saudi International Power and Water Group, said that he is full of confidence in this desalination project and looks forward to deepening cooperation with China to achieve unity of strength and mutual benefit.
At the technical level, the project reduces power consumption by 20% compared with ordinary seawater desalination, and is the world's leading green energy-saving and environmental protection project. At present, the preparatory work for the project is ready and is scheduled to start fully this month, with a contract period of 33 months.
