"ASEAN friends look at Beijing" photo exhibition held in Malaysia
Xinhua News Agency, Kuala Lumpur, 16 Nov (Reporter Lin Hao, Wang Dawei)-- the "ASEAN Friends looking at Beijing" photo exhibition was held at the Chinese Cultural Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 16 November. More than 100 friendly people and student representatives from the two countries attended the event.
The photo exhibition exhibited a total of 40 photographic works taken by people from ASEAN countries on the theme of "Beijing." with a unique perspective and very different styles, the photo exhibition told the photographers of the rapid development and changes of Beijing, the ancient capital of the millennium, in the eyes of photographers. With the camera frame of this modern international metropolis to forge ahead of the wonderful moment.
The photo exhibition is jointly sponsored by the Malaysian China Friendship Association and the Beijing people's Association for Friendship with Foreign countries. Majid, director of the Malaysia-China Friendship Association, said that the friendship between Malaysia and China has a long history, and since the establishment of diplomatic relations 45 years ago, the two countries have achieved fruitful results in exchanges and cooperation in various fields. The holding of this photo exhibition will enable the Malaysian people, especially the younger generation, to have a better understanding of China, which is of great significance in enhancing the friendship between the two peoples and promoting two-way people-to-people exchanges.
Teng Shengping, deputy director of the propaganda Department of the Beijing Municipal CPC Committee, said that in recent years, exchanges between China and ASEAN countries have become closer and closer. This year, Beijing has launched a number of people-to-people exchanges with ASEAN countries, constantly promoting people-to-people ties. The works of this photo exhibition are all taken by friends from ASEAN countries living in Beijing. I hope that more Malaysians will come to Beijing in the future.
During the exhibition, organizers also held "Malaysian friends talk about Beijing" and other exchange activities.
