Yuanwang 5 successfully completes Beidou 3 satellite measurement and control mission
Xinhua News Agency, Yuanwang 5, 23 Nov (Li Bingxuan and Wang Yuanzhi) Yuanwang 5 successfully completed the mission of measuring and controlling Beidou III medium Earth orbit satellite in a certain area of the Indian Ocean on 23 November. This is the first time that Yuanwang 5 has carried out the measurement and control mission of the Beidou 3 medium earth orbit satellite, and for the first time it has carried out the measurement and control mission in this sea area.
Yuanwang 5 participated in the measurement and control of the Beidou 3 project in the Earth orbit group 11 MEO-21, MEO-22 two satellite launch mission. During the mission, Yuanwang 5 tracked the target aircraft for more than 700 seconds, and completed the basic stage external test from the third stage of the carrier rocket to the second taxiing section of the upper stage, as well as the measurement and control tasks of the upper stage and the satellite. It provides strong measurement and control communication support for two Beidou 3 satellites to successfully enter the predetermined orbit.
Since the voyage, Yuanwang No. 5 has maneuvered more than 3000 nautical miles, and has carried out a series of deployment exercises such as life saving, damage control and fire control in the course of the voyage. In view of the measurement and control task, Yuanwang 5 organized relevant personnel to learn task documents, carry out technical exchange and dialogue, and carry out equipment index testing, reliability inspection, technical status inventory, and task software comprehensive testing. And completed a number of joint adjustment and simulation exercises to ensure the success of the mission.
This mission is the first measurement and control mission carried out on the voyage of Yuanwang 5. According to the plan, Yuanwang 5 will also carry out the next two measurement and control tasks in the scheduled sea area.
